In a confined aquaculture pond, gradual accumulation of unutilized feed, dead algae, shrimp/fish fed matter etc. , increases the organic load at the pond bottom. This load absorbs all the available oxygen at pond bottom, by way of oxidation process and creates anaerobic condition. In the absence of oxygen, noxious gases like hydrogen sulphide {H2S}, ammonia {NH3}, nitrite {NO2} etc. become more stable and these depleted dissolved oxygen conditions trigger stress to the culttred species and cause severe health problems ultimately leads to mortality if timely action is not taken.

NITRIFIX microorganisms mnvert ammonia to nitrite, and nitrite to nitrate. These conversion reactions, however, are very delicate and can be inhibited by high concentrations of organics, ammonia and / or nitrate and inappropriate pH. In NITRIFIX the blend of selective organisms are chosen for their ability to stabilize the conversion process and to tolerate condtitions of the pond. NlTRIFIX prevant ammonia buildup {from urine and decaying organic materials}: removes phosphorus nitrogen compounds added to the pond water by shrimp feces, uneaten food and decaying algae; and scevenges organic bottom sludge materials. Significantly reduces effects of pathogens there by decreasing mortality rates and improving profitability and material quality. Suitable for zero exchange, recirculation or any other type of aquaculture system dealing with issues of high phosphates, nitrates and nitrites, bottom sludge, etc.,

500gm paracra/1 - 1.5 kg per hectare.

The Nitrifix dosage can be altered depending on pond condition withh the help of Aqua culture scientist/technician.

Applications :

Mix the required quantity of Nitrifix with sand or Zeolite of Water and spread over the pond.
